Privacy Policy
The Association attaches great importance to protecting the privacy of Website Users and operates in accordance with the provisions of the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981, and all other applicable laws in Israel.
Use of the Website, including registration, making a donation, purchasing products and/or submitting Personal Information, constitutes consent to this Privacy Policy.
1. General
This Website is operated by Eden Association – the Association for the Advancement of Educational, Social and Economic Projects in the Northern Negev (Registered Association) (hereinafter: the “Association”).
This Privacy Policy applies to all activities conducted through the Website.
2. Types of Information Collected
A. Information Voluntarily Provided by the User
When using the Website, the Association may collect Personal Information, including:
- Full name;
- Email address;
- Telephone number;
- Registration details relating to activities, programs or services;
- Order or purchase details;
- Information included in inquiries and forms.
The User is under no legal obligation to provide Personal Information. However, failure to provide certain information may prevent the User from accessing or using certain services available through the Website.
B. Information Collected Automatically
When browsing the Website, certain technical information may be collected, including:
- IP address;
- Browser and device type;
- Browsing times and activities performed on the Website;
- Information collected through cookies.
3. Donations, Payment Processing and Product Purchases
The Website enables Users to make payments and donations and to purchase products or services through secure external payment-processing providers.
- Payment-method information, including credit card details, is not retained by the Association;
- Payments are processed in accordance with generally accepted information-security standards, including PCI DSS;
- The Association retains information required for documenting donations or transactions, maintaining accounting records, issuing receipts and providing services.
Use of payment-processing services is also subject to the terms of use and privacy policy of the relevant payment-processing provider.
4. Purposes for Which Information Is Used
The Association uses the information collected for the following purposes:
- Managing registrations, donations, purchases and activities;
- Communicating with Users and responding to inquiries;
- Providing products and services;
- Managing the Association’s ongoing operations properly and efficiently;
- Improving the Website and the User experience;
- Complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
The Association shall not use the information for any other purpose except as permitted by law or with the User’s consent.
5. Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
The Association shall not disclose Personal Information to third parties except in any of the following circumstances:
- Where disclosure is required for the operation of the Website or the provision of services, including to payment-processing, hosting, mailing and information-security service providers;
- Where disclosure is required by law, a court order or a demand issued by a competent authority;
- Where the User has consented to such disclosure.
6. Information Security
General use of the Website and viewing the content published on it do not require registration or the submission of Personal Information. However, certain sections of the Website, including registration forms, contact forms and other digital services, may require the submission of personally identifiable information, such as a full name, telephone number, email address and additional information, as required under the relevant circumstances.
Mandatory fields shall be clearly marked. The Association shall not request excessive information and shall not be exposed to Personal Information concerning the User other than information provided directly by the User when entering details on the Website.
Such information may be retained in the Association’s information systems or in the information systems of service providers engaged by the Association and shall be used solely by the Association.
- Operational information relating to the Association’s programs may include the details of a parent or contact person, student information required to manage participation in a program, attendance records, educational accommodations and logistical needs. Where the processing of information concerning minors is required, such processing shall be based on the consent of a parent or legal guardian and performed in accordance with applicable law.
Automatically collected information, including cookies and web beacons: When using the Website, information generated automatically by the User’s browser and by advertising systems, including Google and Facebook, may be collected.
Such information may include data concerning the User’s browsing activity, such as pages visited, time spent on the Website, searches performed, online services and sections of interest to the User, the location of the User’s device, IP address data, the type of operating system used, information the User requests to view when accessing the Website, and other similar data.
Use of information collected in this manner is subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of the relevant companies, including any such companies used in the future. Information regarding the data collected through cookies, the manner in which such companies use the data, how cookies may be disabled and related matters may be found in the terms of use and privacy policies of the relevant companies.
Such automatic collection shall be conducted in accordance with applicable law. Users are advised to manage their browser or device settings in relation to such technologies, including deleting cookies from their devices and/or disabling tracking. Such changes may affect the User’s experience when using the Website.
- Information obtained from publicly available sources or through institutional collaborations may include information provided to the Association by educational institutions, local authorities and government ministries for the purpose of operating the Association’s programs, subject to the relevant agreements and applicable law.
7. Transfer of Information to Third Parties
7.1 Consent to the Transfer of Information
The transfer of Personal Information, or the granting of access to Personal Information retained by the Association, to third parties shall be carried out in accordance with the consent provided by the relevant Data Subjects.
As a general rule, the Association’s various consent forms shall also include consent to the transfer of Personal Information to third parties, including in connection with transactions involving the sale of assets that require such transfer or that, by their nature, involve the disclosure of information to third parties.
7.2
Information retained in the Association’s databases may be disclosed to third parties in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
7.3
Any transfer of information to third parties shall be limited to relevant information, shall not exceed the purposes for which the information is transferred and shall be proportionate to a defined, explicit and legitimate purpose.
7.4
The Association may transfer information concerning Data Subjects to the following third parties and/or grant such third parties access to Personal Information, as follows:
7.4.1 Third Parties Providing Services to the Association
Third parties providing various services to the Association, including attorneys and other external professional advisers; providers of security and information-technology support services; cloud hosting and support service providers; banks and financial institutions; insurance agencies and insurance companies; telephone and communications service providers; travel, recreation and leisure service providers; event-production companies; leasing companies; providers of pension and insurance advisory services; payroll and human-resources management service providers; and other third parties providing services to the Association in connection with its activities.
7.4.2 Government Authorities and Public Bodies
Information may be transferred to government authorities and public bodies in accordance with applicable law, for security and safety purposes, or pursuant to a request issued by any such authority or body.
7.5 Transfer of Information Outside Israel
In addition to the consent referred to in Section 2.1, Personal Information retained by the Association may be transferred, or access to such information may be granted, to third parties outside Israel only where at least one of the following conditions is met:
- The information is transferred to a country that is a member of the European Union;
- The information is transferred to a country to which the European Union permits the transfer of information, subject to the applicable conditions, including, for example, the United States under the Privacy Shield framework or a country that has received an adequacy decision from the European Commission;
- An agreement is in place under which the recipient of the information undertakes to comply with applicable privacy-protection laws;
- The Data Subject has expressly consented to the specific transfer and to the specific country to which the information is transferred.
8. User Rights
In accordance with the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, every person is entitled to:
- Review the information retained concerning them;
- Request the correction, updating or deletion of information that is inaccurate, incomplete or not current.
The information shall be used in accordance with all applicable laws and this Privacy Policy, for the following purposes and uses:
- Enabling the use of the various online services;
- Improving the User experience on the Website and its services, measuring their performance, and improving their content and design;
- Processing statistical information through the collection and analysis of anonymized, statistical or aggregated data;
- Securing the online services, including identifying, preventing and addressing information-security issues and technical problems;
- Backing up information;
- Managing risk and obtaining legal protection;
- Receiving and handling User inquiries and communicating with Users;
- Marketing, direct mailing and communicating with Users of the services, in each case subject to the User’s prior consent and the option to unsubscribe at any time;
- Providing updates concerning the Association’s activities, campaigns and future projects;
- Complying with the requirements of any law, regulation or other legislative provision;
- Assisting competent authorities and any third party where the Association believes, in good faith, that it is required to do so.

9. Cookies
The Website uses cookies for its regular operation, statistical analysis and improvement of the User experience.
Users may change their browser settings to block or restrict the use of cookies.
From time to time, the Association’s Website may include links to the Association’s current or future social-media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube and similar platforms.
These social-media platforms are operated by third parties. Use of their online services is governed, inter alia, by the legal agreements and privacy arrangements applicable to each platform. Such platforms are neither operated by nor under the control of the Association.
10. Amendments to this Privacy Policy
The Association may amend or update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
The updated version shall be published on the Website and shall enter into effect upon its publication.
