Introduction

Eden Association – the Association for the Advancement of Educational, Social and Cultural Projects in the Northern Negev is committed to promoting accessibility in order to enable people with disabilities and special needs to access and conveniently use the services we provide. We strive to ensure convenient access for all our clients at our service and sales locations, on our Website and through our telephone service channels.

Approximately fifteen percent of Israel’s population encounters difficulties accessing the internet, including people with visual impairments, hearing impairments or mobility impairments, senior citizens and others.

In order to provide professional and appropriately adapted services to all users, we have implemented the necessary accessibility adjustments on our Website in accordance with the principles of the Israeli Accessibility Standard and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments for Services), 5773–2013 (Part C: Internet Services).

Our Website conforms to the requirements of Israeli Standard 5568 at Level AA, in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. The Website’s accessibility features are compatible with commonly used browsers, including Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer 9 or later.

Accessibility Arrangements at the Association

Kibbutz Dorot

The Association’s offices are located at Kibbutz Dorot. We provide free accessible parking for holders of a disability parking permit issued by the Israeli Ministry of Transport. The accessible parking space is located directly opposite the building.

The premises also include an accessible entrance and accessible restrooms for your convenience. An assistive listening system (induction loop) is also available for use at our Kibbutz Dorot offices.

Kibbutz Karmia

Free accessible parking is available at the offices of Eden Therapeutic Boarding School at Kibbutz Karmia. To ensure that an accessible parking space is available upon your arrival, we recommend coordinating your visit in advance by text message, telephone or email.

Accessibility Adjustments Implemented on the Website

We have invested substantial resources in making our Website easier to use and more accessible to people with disabilities, based on our firm belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

The Website includes an advanced accessibility component provided by NagishExpress Website Accessibility, which operates through a dedicated accessibility server. The software enables the Website to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).

The NagishExpress accessibility menu may be activated by clicking the accessibility menu icon displayed in the corner of the page. The accessibility menu and technology implemented on the Website provide a range of options, including:

1. Adapting the Website and its tags for assistive devices and technologies used by people with disabilities;
2. Enabling keyboard navigation between links on the Website;
3. Disabling flashing and/or moving elements displayed on the screen;
4. Adjusting contrast, including light contrast, dark contrast and color inversion;
5. Highlighting all links displayed on the Website;
6. Increasing or decreasing the font size on the Website;
7. Adjusting text spacing to one of three available spacing levels;
8. Hiding images displayed on the Website;
9. Displaying the alternative text assigned to each image when hovering over it;
10. Dyslexia support, including changing the Website font to facilitate the reading of Website content by people with dyslexia;
11. Enlarging the mouse pointer;
12. Activating a reading mask that enables users to focus on the primary content of a page;
13. Activating a reading guide that displays a reading bar beneath the mouse pointer to facilitate the reading of Website content;
14. Adjusting text alignment to the right, left or center;
15. Adjusting line height and the spacing between lines of text on the Website;
16. Selecting an accessibility profile based on the User’s needs. Available profiles include motor impairment, blindness, color blindness, dyslexia, visual impairment, cognitive and learning disabilities, epilepsy and ADHD.

The accessibility plugin supports screen-reading software, including JAWS, NVDA and other screen readers.

We continuously work to improve the accessibility of the Website as part of our commitment to making it available for use by the entire population, including people with disabilities and special needs.

Despite our efforts to make all pages of the Website accessible, some sections may not yet be fully accessible.
