Women Tell War is a documentation, art, and healing initiative established by Eden Association approximately one month after the events of October 7. It was created to document the stories of women on the home front and the front lines, ensuring that their perspectives become part of the public and historical record.
The initiative combines filmed testimonies and art exhibitions, guided by the understanding that documentation itself can play a meaningful role in processing and healing.
The testimonies are collected in a safe environment based on the Eden Model, a gender-sensitive therapeutic model developed through more than 30 years of experience in trauma care for women and girls.
The Initiative Has Three Main Goals
Preserving Historical and Collective Memory
Creating a living archive of women’s testimonies from the war, in recognition of the fact that women’s voices have historically been documented less frequently. The initiative seeks to ensure that these stories are preserved and become part of our collective memory.
Deepening the Understanding of Trauma from a Women’s Perspective
Documentation as a Tool for Processing and Healing
Women Tell War | Testimonies
The Women Tell War initiative includes approximately 100 filmed testimonies from women on the home front and the front lines, documenting in their own words the events of October 7, the war, and the life that followed.
The testimonies have been broadcast on social media, Spotify, HOT, and the Israel Plus channel, receiving millions of views and numerous responses in Israel and around the world.
The Exhibitions
Art exhibitions inspired by the testimonies collected through the initiative, bringing these stories to audiences in Israel and around the world. The exhibitions are displayed at Eden 51, Eden Association’s conference and content center, and are also hosted by organizations, companies, public institutions, and communities in Israel and worldwide.
